Ancient Egypt has gone from the garden of mystery to an ignored backwater as far as the movers and shakers in this world are concerned, but really, it hasn't changed.

Egypt was old when classical civilization was still learning to walk. Interested people are still learning, still remembering, still exploring with the help of ancient Egypt.

I know I am.

Thanks, Siofra.

I'm just reading about it more these days. I found a very interesting book written by an Egyptian, which is more interesting than it being a European. He goes into ritual, one I did with Maat, helped with a court case. I'm also reading quite a bit of Henry Wilson, and how the mystery schools took root in Egypt. Their monastic system was very similar to ours in Eriu. And the Coptic church is also very connected to ours. We were both thorns in the side of Rome. There is so much to explore... and so many Egyptian artefacts are found here in Ireland, and the archaeologists just ignore this.

We always like to think of history as something stretched over time, but I'm not so certain of this any longer. When it comes to ancient Egypt, it is as you say, that the web that was Egypt is cast very far afield. I now find that history is far more of a memory than anything else, and it is there, simply existing, until a touch of consciousness sparks it to life.

It seems that your grasp of Egyptian history is superior to my own. I have been looking for some time for verse or incantation to throw light on how the Egyptians themselves perceived MAAT, and here you are already using rituals for balance.

I am aware that a very deep connexion exists between Ireland and Egypt. I recall a reference to this, but my memory is fuzzy here, perhaps a papyri in which red haired people were having congress with Egyptian nobility. I thought at the time of your land, with a very high percentage of natural redheads, but of course the book never mentioned such.

Encaustic on board was the primary medium for the Coptic artists, and they largely focused on portraits, or at least thats what the art historians say. The encaustic work is very different from the votive or ritual work usually associated with Egypt, as the Coptic artists had forgotten the golden mean by this time. So, the Coptic church did not actually continue the ancient traditions, however there was a thread of connexion in that the work conveyed that essence, sense of life.

I will have to look up Henry Wilson, because the rituals of death and rebirth in Gnosticism have great similarity in tone to the Mysteries.

If you are ever interested in writing about your discoveries I would very much like to read what you have to say about them.

"Time will tell if the Christian Jesus can or will retrieve his true potency. Obviously, there will be no return to ancient Egyptian and Gnostic revelations, yet there is room for a deepening, an achieving of a greater significance within a spiritual milieu. "

I think he will retrieve his true potency (and more, it will continuously expand) and there will be a return to the ecstatic union of the Cathari, and the direct knowledge of the Egyptian and Gnostics (Valentinians, specifically).

The egregore that Christ has become has been fed for thousands of years, and despite a poor understanding, all that energy had to go *somewhere*. I think it will be quite the revelation for our apocalypse.

Subbing via RSS so I won't show on your roles, but I'm in.

I take a cautious view regarding this for several reasons, not the least of which is the terrible wound that still lives in those who carry the image of the Cathari. In order for this apotheosis to reach this heavy reality, there is a key ministry that must be recovered.

I have it on good confidence that this is a possibility, yet still the timing of the heavans, the Gods must be correct.

Currently, it is not.

In terms of the egregore of Jesus, such is not, nor can ever be the full extent of Iao. The primary reason behind my position on this is that the modern mind doesn't grasp the capability of Iao to access realms undreamt, thus they cannot build such intent. Whilst egregore is an attractive concept to many, I have never observed any such thing as even roughly equivalent to divinity.

A span of some 200 years from now will see the equinox precession align with the galatic core. I see this as the moment of evaluation for this entire planet. With the huge possibility, and but a short time to prepare, the majority of mankind is running away, abandoning all principle, eagerly giving themselves over to hive mind collectivism, such as the abrahamics.

So, yes, I remain cautious in my thought on this question.
