The end of vision is both a process and a state. It carries with it on the personal level a loss of all those protective illusions we believe are so real. Inevitably, it takes us to that place where spiritually, The Dark Night of the Soul alludes to, similar in spirit with Kings Cross Station, where JK Rowling in Deathly Hallows brilliantly presented Harry Potter with Albus Dumbledore, discussing the nature of choice.

The status Quo has ended just as assuredly as the American Indian way of life ended in the closing hours of the 19th century. The world as you knew it is over, and for a lead on what this means-just read Vision's End.
