Usually, from what I can tell about substack anyway, the majority of pieces are written to appeal to a specific community, to scratch the collective itch.
I don't have a community, just a few loyal readers whom I appreciate, so I award myself the freedom to call the shots as I see them.
In truth this piece offers a bit of a critique to modernity, and as such will doubtless bruise egos. I've already had one power of positive thinking subscriber go running, which I will take as a victory, for reasons made clear in this piece.

It's true most things here are written for a certain click. I am guilty of this myself, I basically only post about Asatru and heathen related things. But as an intelligent person ( or so I'd like to think) I read all kinds of things. It would be my supposition that an intelligent person can learn from everything not just live in some echo chamber. Anyway you are most welcome and thanks for the great writing.
I watched the video a little past the mark you posted, Nine. Other than shameless profiteering and stretching it to include Qabala, I didn't think it was much more or less than most AI videos on Gnosticism.
From a historic point of view, his assessment of Gnosticism as a syncretic melting pot isn't supported by evidence. I think I get why they made this assertion, tho: it lends itself to cherry picking various passages from other traditions, and saying something nice about them.
Anhedonia Storm deals with much of the same approach to reality as in the video, which is to say, opposition. It acknowledges the necessity of the journey into terror, loss, and darkness.
I've had a number of people unsubscribe over this piece, most likely because it isn't very nice. Well gosh, but guess what, the truth isn't nice either. I stand by what I wrote here, as I did write every single word, and meant it.

Now? These churches are mostly empty and those left all pumped full of those government injections. My evangelical princess now the Queen as she sees Spirit from within as do I.
